{ Cast & Crew: Walker Edmiston }

Walker Edmiston (February 6, 1926 - February 15, 2007) is an American actor born in St. Louis, Missouri. Edmiston began his career at an early age after discovering he could mimic voices perfectly, entertaining his family members with an impression of Lionel Barrymore. At the end of World War II, Edmiston moved to Los Angeles to perform in stage shows at the Pasadena Playhouse. It was during a play produced by Walter Lantz that he received his big break to television, performing a number of identical voices for "Time for Beany." The 50's and 60's were successful decades with his children's series titled "The Walker Edmiston Show," featuring puppets he made himself. Other well-known shows he appeared in include "H.R. Pufnstuf," "The Bugaloos," and "Lidsville." By the 70's, Edmiston had a full-time career in acting, appearing as Erik in "Land of the Lost," followed by numerous guest spots on "Bonanza," "Get Smart," "Green Acres," "Knots Landing," "Little House on the Prairie," "Mission: Impossible," "Star Trek," and "The Wild, Wild West" to name a few.

Edmiston returned to voice acting in the eighties in popular animated shows such as "The Smurfs," "Jem," "The Chipmunks," and "The Transformers" (Inferno). It was while performing these many roles that he briefly lent his talents in The Great Mouse Detective as a Thug Guard and the crippled elderly Citizen who yells, "That's ridiculous! You're insane!" to Professor Ratigan's newly devised laws. The decade of the nineties continued with more voice acting in "The Gummi Bears" (Sir Thornberry), "Spider-Man: Six Forgotten Warriors" (Whizzer) and on the popular radio show, "Adventure in Odyssey" as Tom Riley. Edmiston can also be heard as Ernie the Keebler Elf in several TV commercials. One of his last-known performances was the voice of Azulon is "Avatar: The Last Air Bender" in 2006. Edmiston sadly passed away from cancer at the age of 81 in 2007, leaving a legacy of several memorable characters behind.
